    Balboa Court Apartments (FIT) – 346 kW

    PCS Energy was awarded the first solar energy project on Los Angeles World Airport property. Special consideration was given to the angle of every solar module on the project to ensure no glare was created for the air traffic control tower or incoming aircraft. Consisting of approximately 4,000 panels spanning some 150,000 square feet, the roof-mount/canopy solar electric system will generate approximately 2.5 million kilowatts of electricity and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 4 million pounds annually. The system’s environmental impact is the equivalent of planting 850 acres of trees and eliminating 6.5 million car miles.

    Bruce’s Catering located in the San Fernando valley was looking for a way to eliminate their large electricity bill from their catering business in an economical and eco friendly way. PCS Energy provided a winning proposal to achieve their goal.

    The Reno Country Club – 235 kW

    The Reno County Club is a 132 unit apartment building located in the Koreatown district of Los Angeles. To maximize the size of the rooftop solar array, SolarEdge inverters were used to allow for the highest shade tolerance.

    Park Century School – 58 kW

    Park Century School is an alternative learning school located in Culver City. PCS Energy designed and built a 58 kW rooftop solar array, special consideration was taken not to disturb the architectural design of the building. Due to the curvature of the roof, SolarEdge inverters and optimizers were utilized to ensure maximize production from the solar system.

    Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel – 150 kW

    Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel contracted PCS Energy to design and build a 150 kW rooftop solar array. This project required a high level or coordination between hotel management and PCS Energy to ensure hotel guest were not inconvenienced. Special attention was given to the design of the system to keep the visual appearance of the solar system minimized.

    Zelzah Court Apartment (FIT) – 673 kW

    The owner of Zelzah Court Apartment reached out to PCS Energy to inquire about ways to increase income from the property. PCS Energy conducted a thorough audit of the property and determined a Feed In Tariff solar system would be the most financially beneficial. Since roof space was limited it was decided to install carports to maximize the solar system size. With carful coordination between PCS Energy and building management, PCS was able to construct the carports and commission the solar system with minimal impact to the building tenants.

    Woodcliff Apartments – 298 kW

    PCS Energy was contracted to design and build a 298 kW rooftop solar array. This project was especially challenging due to the large foot print of the building coupled with limited space. To ensure PCS Energy was able to achieve the target production level for the solar system, 12 inverters were used to isolate the various module orientations.
